A Home Away From Home

So you scheduled your vacation time off, your husband and kids are super excited for the trip; so now the question at hand is where can we visit where Max is able to go with us? Well we had an opportunity last week to stay at one of the newest Home 2 Suites in NC! My family and I were able to spend 2 nights in the cozy and pet friendly Home 2 Suites North by Hilton Fayetteville located off I-295 and Fort Liberty.

They offer Pet Friendly rooms, check the above link for the types of rooms that are available.  The maximum weight of your pooch has to be 75 lbs. and there is a $75 non-refundable fee. (Please note: Not all Home 2 Suites are pet-friendly; so please double check the website before booking your stay).

If you are worried about leaving little Max in the room alone; no worries… the hotel offers door tags to inform the housekeeper that there is a pet in the room. The other benefit to staying at a Home 2 Suites is the large rooms; your pooches will have enough room to run around, play and stretch. 

For all of those curious pooches out there who like to get into stuff when their fur parents are away from the room; Home 2 Suites come with high shelves so you are able to place non-pet friendly items safely away from the reach of little paws.

Also… these hotels are equipped with kitchenettes with full sized refrigerators and freezers so you are able to place your food inside of them as well as your little pooches doggy bowl so that it can remain cool for your travel back home.

Some locations have designated dog walking areas with pooper scooper stations; please call ahead to see if the Home 2 Suites that you plan on staying has this area accessible.

The rooms come with room darkening shades so that you are able to block out the outside light and allow you or your fur babies to get a nice nap during the day.

Both Wi-Fi and breakfast are complimentary and there's nothing like starting out your morning with some fresh waffles that you make from a waffle iron or those who like grits, sausage and gravy. They have fresh fruit, egg muffins and pastries too.

So if you are military or a military spouse you can stay at the Home 2 Suites ask for the military rates and at check-in the service member must present a military i.d.  If you are a senior or traveling with parents or grand-parents who are seniors please ask for the AARP rate. Since Home 2 Suites is a Hilton property you can use your Hilton Honor rewards or sign up to become a member.
